New Students Orientation at MOHERST

Earlier today, at the higher education premises, the 46 shortlisted students for the 2019/2020 batch and their parents were oriented about their courses and the scholarship at length.

In attendance were the representatives of GASAM (Mr. Ousainou Ceesay and Ms. Amie Gaye), the Permanent Secretary of MOHERST, the Scholarship Board, the students and their parents and the QTv Media House.

The students were told about their approved courses and what their program entails as well as a full disclosure about the Scholarship. MOHERST officials urged the parents to support the students including financially as the stipend doesn't cover for everything.

They implored on the parents to understand their children when they ask for financial support and urged to give them money before coming.

From the part of GASAM, the Focal Persons advised the students both on and off camera about life in Morocco and reminded them that their courses won't be changed in Morocco.

They also encouraged the students and advised them to take on their education seriously and understand that the French language will not be a big obstacle as they have passed through the system and made it.

The students are expected to arrive in the kingdom on the early hours of Wednesday morning. As usual, GASAM and The Gambian Embassy in the Kingdom will be welcoming them at the International Hostel where

they will be treated to a breakfast courtesy of the association before they are lodged and later helped to settle.

During the course of the week, these students will be escorted to the market to buy cooking utensil and take passport size photos, buy provisions, register at the Scholarship Board and the French Language School.

We are so excited to welcome these students to the Kingdom.

Have a blessed happy weekend!
