The Gambia Students' Association was awarded as the Best Student Association in Morocco by CESAM, the umbrella body that englobes all international students in Morocco at the 36th edition of their annual CESAM WEEK. GASAM was also awarded a FAIR PLAY Trophy for their outstanding performance during the football tournament.
GASAM was recognized for their outstanding performance over the academic year 2017/2018 in helping their partner organization, CESAM to achieve their goals. The award for the best community couldn't come at a better time as the 2017/2018 GASAM executive continues to prove how objective oriented they are in setting a new day for the association.
CESAM WEEK
Held every year during the spring break, the CESAM Week is a one week series of activities organised by CESAM with the aim of promoting cultural diversity and sports. The event also promotes networking and foster relationships between associations and the international student community at large. GASAM is a key participant in all major activities of this week. This year, we participated in the football competition for men and women, the quiz competition, Miss and Master contest and displayed some Gambian culture and traditions during the official opening ceremony.
