Meet Mr. Alex Ousman Jarju, a first year masters student in Big Data Analytics.
Mr. Alex Ousman Jarju a Gambian studying in the kingdom of Morocco, a first year masters student in Big Data Analytics at the University of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in the city of Fes .
Mr. Alex has been someone who is very helpful to the student association and currently he is serving as a member of the group of three who advises, checks and balances the executive in their work.
Mr. Jarju being someone who is so passionate about nation building recently launched a platform called BS Lumo where Gambians can come together and trade goods and services for free.
According to him in a conversation BS Lumo is a classified website where Gambians can post their adverts online.
The purpose of creating the site is to help the Gambian people especially those with shops and stores ( selling for example clothes, mobile phones etc) to expose their products online said Mr. Jarju.
He highlighted that the aim is to create awareness and boost the products on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. We at BS lumo realize that the cost of internet is extremely high in the Gambia and the less privileged shop and store owners find it difficult to give their products the exposure it needs.
"Our main goal is to democratize the purchasing power of all Gambians".
The Gambia is proud of you keep it up Mr. Jarju.
