The LEADERSHIP
GASAM’s leadership board is divided mainly into three (3) groups which comprise of the Executive, the Group of three (G3) + an Adviser and the Permanent Committees (which comprise of Social and Cultural Committee, the Media Committee and the Sports Disciplinary Committee) and Ad hoc Committees (which comprise of the City and Town Representatives and the GASAM Special Award Night Committee).
It is worthy to note that the final decision of the Association lies solely in the hands of the general Assembly. This is as a result of promoting and preparing youths for better democratic practices of transparency and inclusiveness by all in decision making.
THE Executive Committee
Voted into office annually, the Executive of GASAM comprises of 8 positions that plan and steer the execution of all the activities of the Association and are answerable to the general student body and the G3 as stipulated in the constitution.
The positions include, PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL SECRETARY, PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, FINANCIAL SECRETARY, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SECRETARY , SPORTS SECRETARY AND THE TREASURER. Below is a profile of our 2021/2022 Executive members.

The Group of Three
The Group of Three (G3) is a neutral body task to oversee all the activities of the Executive Committee in order to ensure conformity with the objectives of the Association.
It comprises of three experienced Gasamians selected based on their status of being former Executive members or possessing a certain degree of seniority in the kingdom.
They also offer advices where necessary and serve as intermediaries between the executives and our partners or the general assembly. The G3 is selected annually by outgoing executives.
The Adviser
The Adviser is chosen by the Executive in consultation with the Group of Three (G3) to advise all members of the GASAM leadership board. He is selected base on his experience as a past member of the leadership board and trust to the Association.

The Social and Cultural Committee
The Social and Cultural Committee is a sub-committee set aside by the Executive to help in the planning and implementation of all the Social activities of the Association. They are selected based on their proven dedication and commitment to the Association and their experience in social activities.
This committee is headed by the Social and Cultural Secretary of GASAM who oversees all social activities of the Association.
The Media Committee
This committee is in charge of the Association’s communication
platforms including the website and the social media accounts of the Association. The PRO oversees the Committee.

The Sports Disciplinary Committee
This committee is in charge of settling all conflicts that arise during sporting events the association organises or are invited to participate in. The Sports Secretary oversees the Committee.
The City and Town Representatives
They are representatives of cities where GASAM members exceed two. They represent the interests of the members in their city / town and are answerable to the main bureau in Rabat.

The GASAM Special Award Night Committee
This committee is an independent body and is responsible for tracing out deserving members for the various categories of awards and for coordinating elections among nominees at the general membership level, where necessary.
