Anglophone Week 2014
The Union of Anglophone Students and Trainees in Morocco (UASTIM) also known as Anglophone Union, organised its annual Anglophone Week, bringing together all students from Anglophone countries to participate in a week of sports and social and cultural activities. GASAM, participated as The Gambia in the football and volleyball tournaments, as well as the Miss and Mister Competition with outstanding performances throughout the week.
Maths Classes 2014
The GASAM annual Math Classes is always held during the summer with the aim of helping them integrate easily in the universities that has a more advance math syllabus than the anglophone system. The classes are usually held for the fresh students who just completed their French year (the language course).
The classes was sponsored by Heeno International, a Gambian NGO and one of our key sponsors.
Tobaski 2014
GASAM, more than an association, is a family. On foreign shores and far away from Mother Gambia and our respective families, GASAM steps in each year to bring together students to celebrate Tobaski or Eid Al-Fitr as a family.
50th Independence Celebration: Golden Jubilee (2015)
GASAM celebrated The Gambia’s 50th Independence Anniversary at the Embassy of the Republic of The Gambia in Rabat. To mark the Golden Jubilee, poetry, rap, music and an outstanding drama performance was delivered to ignite the flame of patriotism in all Gambians present at the auspicious occasion.
French Classes
In order to complement the efforts of the CIL, GASAM organised supplementary French classes for the new students, enabling them to accelerate their learning of the French Language in preparation for their studies in Moroccan Universities where the language of instruction is French.
CESAM Week 2015
​The Confederation for African Students and Trainees in Morocco organised its 33rd edition of its annual CESAM Week, bringing together all African students in Morocco to participate in a week of sports and social and cultural activities. Gasamians participated in a number of activities, in particular the football and volleyball tournaments, as well as the Miss and Mister Competition. The Gambia made it to the quarter finals of the football tournament for the first time.

GASAM, more than an association, is a family. On foreign shores and far away from Mother Gambia and our respective families, GASAM steps in each year to bring together students to celebrate Tobaski or Eid Al-Fitr as a family. In addition to food and drink, entertainment came in the form of debate, drama, cards and board games.
